Education & Advocacy Summit 2020

Do you work in the field of Deaf education? On February 25th, Gallaudet University is hosting  a FREE summit for all administrators and professionals in deaf and special education. It includes presentations and discussions on policy, best practices in advocacy, and innovation related to educating deaf and hard of hearing students. All presentations are in ASL and English. At the Summit, you will: 

  • Interact with school administrators to learn about optimizing educational outcomes for deaf and hard of hearing students.
  • Participate in discussions related to federal programs implemented based on laws affecting students from birth to 21 years old.
  • Acquire a better understanding of federally funded initiatives to support early language acquisition in deaf and hard of hearing babies.

In addition, high school students are welcome to attend the concurrent youth summit!
