ASL Music Video: Remember Me
This video stars Deaf actor Dickie Hearts and the first graders at the ASL & English Lower School at PS 347 in New York. And get this: It’s done in four languages: English with American Sign Language and Spanish with Mexican Sign Language!
The project was the brainchild of Kori Rushton of IRT Theater. Director Alana Campbell created the story framework for the video, which captures the separation and isolation brought on by the pandemic – and the joy of coming back together again. Watch this video with your family and see if you can spot the Curious George “Easter eggs” the students’ teacher placed in the background!
