This month provides us with the opportunity to highlight the importance of providing equal access to members of our communities who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or experiencing hearing loss.
Here at ASDC, we believe that deafness is not a disability, but language deprivation is. That’s why it’s our mission to ensure that every deaf child can learn sign language from the very start. Raising awareness through month-long observations and learning opportunities such as this is an important part of creating understanding, and increasing access for our kids.
