Happy Winter Solstice!
Do you decorate the interiors of your place with the greenery brought indoors? The fallen branches, accompanied with pinecones? Have you ever wondered if others do the same? Did you ever think this is an ages-old tradition?!
There are many symbols we all recognize during the holidays, and the first…. the Yule Log!
Nowadays one might have seen such a delicacy at a grocery store or bakeries; if you have not laid your eyes on one, maybe you will someday soon! The Yule Log is a tradition changed over time. Once, “yule log” meant actual burning of the logs!
In this week’s video, Amelia the Architect shares stories about Winter Solstice and the traditions of the Yule Log – with a fun activity and recipe at the end with a cooking tutorial where you can learn to make or build your own Yule Log!
