Have you ever learned about and/or celebrated Juneteenth at home or in the classroom?

Juneteenth is short for June Nineteenth. June 19th is a holiday that marks the day enslaved people who lived in our country learned they were legally free. It isn’t a national holiday yet, but it’s important to know about it!

Imagine the day when Juneteenth can be known about, valued, and remembered by all U.S. Americans.

To support the significance of June 19th, please watch and share this important video with your family, students, and community.

Join us in honoring and celebrating the importance of Juneteenth.
