ASDC welcomes its newest school member, The Oklahoma School for the Deaf!
The Oklahoma School for the Deaf (OSD) is a residential school that offers educational options for Deaf children ages two through twenty-one. Their campus in Sulphur, Oklahoma has a residential capacity of 230. In addition, OSD provides satellite preschool programs in Edmond and Chickasha.
OSD opened in 1908 to provide the same educational opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing students as other schools provide for hearing students. Their sports programs include: football, volleyball, basketball, track, and cheer. The OSD Foundation is currently raising funds for a football stadium.
OSD teachers and staff have a great sense of humor! Watch this fun end-of-the-year video they made for students in June.
