Are you ready to become a math champion? The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is inviting Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing middle school students to join the 2025 NTID Math Competition! This exciting event is designed to challenge young minds, spark new friendships, and bring out the best in students across the nation.

Registration Opens: September 1, 2024

Whether you’re an individual or part of a team, this is your chance to shine. Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students from all across the U.S. will compete regionally in math challenges, vying for a spot in the national finals, which will be held at RIT/NTID from April 4-6, 2025. Four regional competitions will kick off the excitement, with the top teams from each advancing to the national event.

Regional Competition Dates & Locations:

    • Southeast Region: Texas School for the Deaf, Austin, TX (January 24-26, 2025)
    • West Region: Oregon School for the Deaf, Salem, OR (February 7-9, 2025)
    • Midwest Region: LADSE Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at Hinsdale South, Darien, IL (February 21-23, 2025)
    • Northeast Region: Neptune Middle School, Neptune, NJ (March 7-9, 2025)

Prizes

Get ready for some great rewards! Top individual and team performers will win cash prizes:

    • Regional Top 3 individuals: $150, $100, and $50
    • National Top 4 individuals: $500, $375, $250, and $125
    • National Top 4 teams: $1,000, $600, $400, and $250

How to Participate:

If you’re 15 years old or younger and currently enrolled in a Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing program, you’re eligible to join. Once you’ve registered, get ready to solve challenging math problems, make new friends, and showcase your skills.
